There’s no doubt about it – the Concept S is one of the most attractive and elegant speaker systems available. It’s the perfect optic and acoustic addition to a modern flat screen. Taking up a floor area of just 22 x 22 cm, the slimline, 9 cm wide and 1.13 metre high, aluminium columns can be integrated perfectly into almost every living room. The acoustically identical centre speaker, on the other hand, is in landscape format so that it can easily fit on, over or under the screen.

Two subwoofers are available for the position of the central bass output: the single-channel model for AV receiver operation or the integrated six-channel model with surround receiver.

The Subwoofer SW+R Dolby Digital/dts from the Concept S+R-Set has a full multichannel receiver with three analogue and two digital inputs, 350 watt output, remote control and UKW/MW radio. This means you can directly connect signal sources such as DVD players/recorders, TV, satellite receivers, MP3 players, games consoles and video recorders – and control them all via remote control from the comfort of your sofa. You don’t need a separate surround receiver.

Please note: like all Concept S components, this fully active 5.1 subwoofer SW+R Dolby Digital/dts is available separately, in case you still want to add your own choice of surround system without receiver.

The tried and tested Concept S mono active subwoofer is the best choice for connecting to any existing receivers/amplifiers. With 170 watt pure tone for the bass and the same 250 mm bass speaker as in the Subwoofer SW+R Dolby Digital/dts, it also provides a solid bass foundation even in rooms of up to 30m2. A remote control is included so that you can easily adjust the levels and the transfer frequency from the listening location.

When it comes to sound, you know you can rely on Teufel. Concept S offers a whole lot more than the similar-looking speaker systems from department stores that are usually cheaper imitation aluminium. The housings of the Concept S Satellites are actually made from solid aluminium – an extremely solid and robust material that is perfect for making speakers. All 26(!) chassis used in the Concept S are magnetically shielded so that all of the speakers can be set up without worrying about their proximity to TVs or monitors.

The attractive combination of elegant appearance and excellent sound has made the Concept S one of the bestselling home cinema sets that Teufel has ever produced. We haven’t rested on our laurels though, and we have kept on improving the product further – according to your wishes.

The Concept S is now available with a new centre speaker: The Concept S FCR supports the Teufel philosophy of using the same technical equipment for front and centre speakers, for optimum homogenous sound. That's because the same four mid-tone speakers and a particularly delicate high-tone dome now ensure clear and dynamic sound in the essential reproduction of speech. The new centre/satellite also exactly technically corresponds to the column speakers. The result is that you can use this speaker not just as a centre but also as a front or rear speaker. The integrated wall brackets allow both horizontal and vertical mounting.
That means that the Concept S can now be individually adapted to your specific spatial requirements, because you can combine columns and satellites however you like, without acoustic restrictions. If, for example, you can’t set up four columns, take just two columns and supplement them with three Concept S FCR satellites, using one as a centre and two as rear speakers.

What’s more, the “short” Concept S FCR can also be used as front speakers and then the "long" columns can be moved to the back. Or just use five centre/FCR satellites for attaching all the speakers to the wall. Everything just how you need it.
We have prepared six possible variations as ready-configured 5.1 systems where the set number always corresponds to the number of FCR satellites. In other words, set 1 contains an FCR satellite as a centre and four columns (so corresponds to the “classic” Concept S), set 3 comes with 3 x FCR satellites and two columns, set 5 consists only of five “short” FCR satellites for front, centre and rear sound reproduction. Naturally, they all include subwoofers!

The letter R indicates the fully active Subwoofer Concept S SW+R Dolby Digital/dts. These sets are called 1+R, 3+R and 5+R. That means you always have a set to match your specific requirements.
