Durch die Teufel-typische DPU-Technik ist eine störgeräuschfreie Basswiedergabe selbst bei intensiven Lautstärkeanforderungen gewährleistet. So lassen sich Räume bis zu einer Größe von 50 Quadratmeter in THX-zertifizierter Bassqualität beschallen.

Compact speaker M 620 FCR

The sophisticated hi-tech flat diaphragm is the key to reproducing the low mid frequencies. Since these speakers radiate all frequencies from the entire effective diaphragm surface, they are free of the phase issues common to conventional cone drivers. Since there are no components that can vibrate out of phase, this also leads to a significant reduction in distortion.

The combination of the flat diaphragm with the solid aluminium front panel on the satellites eliminates the negative side effects of diffraction caused by corners and angles nearby. The extremely rigid sandwich design offers excellent impulse response and an extremely linear frequency characteristic. Upper frequencies are rounded off nicely by the tweeter located centrally on the speaker.

Since the external diameter of the drivers is smaller, they can be placed closer to each other. This results in improved sound diffusion – a very important aspect for listeners who are not lucky enough to be seated in the 'sweet spot'.

In addition to the technical advantages, the flat diaphragm design also allowed us to reduce the cabinet depth by 25% compared to the previous model. The minimal depth of just 13 cm makes it easy to find a location to place these high-gloss speakers with their attractive side profiles. By fastening a bracket to the thread at the bottom of the speaker, you can mount it discreetly on a wall right next to your flat panel LCD or plasma TV. Alternatively, you can also place the speaker directly on a bookshelf or on the matching elegant stand (M 620 P) at the perfect location in your room.

After completing their measurements on the M 620 FCR, THX engineers in California showered Teufel with accolades: The measurement results were the best of any speaker ever tested by THX!

Please note that the soft speaker grilles should be used to ensure optimal sound quality. Without the grilles, the frequency response changes and the sound will become slightly harsher and more brittle.
